Crafted from Australian yearling leather and hand-stitched with Lin Cable thread, Keyring 01 is designed with a quiet, minimal form that lets the material speak for itself.
The leather body is paired with antique brass hardware, giving the piece a warm, understated character that will develop naturally with use. Built for everyday handling, each keyring is made with durability and longevity in mind — an object intended to be carried, worn in, and kept for years.
Rather than following a seasonal design, its pared-back shape is deliberately timeless, reflecting SERNÉ’s focus on slower, longer-lasting objects.

Designed to hold keys, jewellery, coins, earbuds and other everyday essentials, this compact leather tray brings a little order to the objects that tend to gather around us.
Made from Australian yearling leather and entirely hand-stitched with Lin Cable thread, each piece is shaped and finished by hand. The softly folded corners allow the leather’s natural character and texture to remain visible, making the tray feel both functional and sculptural.

Made from vegetable-tanned leather, Cardholder 01 is designed around a simple curved opening and generous negative space. The restrained form keeps the focus on proportion, material and the subtle character of the leather.
Each piece is entirely hand-stitched with Lin Cable thread and finished by hand with Fenice edge paint, creating a clean, refined edge while preserving the tactile quality of the leather.
Designed without unnecessary detail, its timeless shape is intended to sit outside seasonal trends — an everyday object made to be used, carried and kept for years. As the leather ages, it will gradually develop its own patina and character through use.

The Weight We Carry reflects the memories and experiences people continue to carry, even when they are no longer visible to others. Suspended from a restrained line of leather, the central form hangs with a sense of weight and tension: held, contained, but never entirely released.
The contrast between the black Australian cowhide and brown Korean cowhide speaks to the layers of experience we accumulate over time. Leather cord and metal rivets bind the elements together, creating a fragile balance between endurance and vulnerability.

A wound can close without disappearing.
What Remains explores what is left behind after healing—the marks that remain on the surface, even when the pain itself has passed. A single incision moves across the leather, partially drawn together by a small row of stitches sewn by hand with Lin Cable linen thread. The opening has been repaired, but not erased.
Created from Australian kangaroo leather, the work preserves the material’s natural scars, variations and traces of life. Rather than concealing these imperfections, the piece allows them to become part of its story: evidence of endurance, memory and survival.
What Remains was exhibited at Connecting Memories Through Art 2026, where artist Serena Shin was awarded Third Prize.

We explore leather through form, texture and repetition, creating objects slowly and with intention — About SERNÉ.
Some distances cannot be closed without changing what lies on either side.
Created from Australian cowhide offcuts that would otherwise have been discarded, A Fragile Distance brings two separate forms into an uncertain relationship. They reach towards one another but never fully meet. The white space between them remains visible—representing the emotional distance that can exist even when a connection is still present.
Fine threads cross the gap without sealing it, holding the two sides together only loosely. The irregular tension, unfinished loops and suspended ends reflect the fragile nature of connection: sometimes strained, sometimes tangled, yet not entirely broken.
Every stitch hole was individually punched by hand using a leather chisel, then hand-stitched with Lin Cable linen thread. The loose threads have been intentionally left untrimmed, preserving the vulnerability and imperfection of the connection.
